Jihlavan currently delivers components to a number of domestic and international aircraft companies. Historically, it participated in producing aircraft that were developed in Czechoslovakia by companies such as Aero Vodochody and Let Kunovice. A new chapter in the company and its further development has opened by projects for Airbus, one of the two major aircraft manufacturers in the world.
The CASA C-295 is a two-engine military transport aircraft, made by the Spanish EADS-CASA company. CASA C-295 aircraft are produced in several versions. The aircraft is able to transport up to 71 armed soldiers (or 49 paratroopers) or 3 light vehicles, such as Landrovers. The Czech Air Force has received four C-295M aircraft.
This was one of the pilot projects for the CESA Aero company for BTP supplies for the Airbus/EADS supply chain and represents a significant step in fulfilling our long-term business strategy. With respect to the military nature of the project, the technical demands on the devices are very high in relation to the technical properties and testing conditions. Deliveries vary from 10 to 25 aircraft per year.
