COMPANY HISTORY
From the outset, the company’s manufacture was based on licenced programmes for the IL-10, Yak-14 and IL-14 aircraft. Starting from 1952, hydraulic devices began to be supplied under the Jihlavan trademark (e.g. devices for the MiG-15, MiG-19 and MiG-21).
In the second half of the 20th century, Jihlavan built up a strong level of professional competence as a manufacturer, as well as a developer. Hydraulic components and systems supplied to aircraft such as the Turbolet L 410, L-39 Albatros and L-159 ALCA were designed and developed directly at Jihlavan for final aircraft OEMs.
THE MODERN ERA OF JIHLAVAN
Currently, JIHLAVAN is a modern company applying the expert technical knowledge and skills of its 220+ employees.
Company strategy is defined by its current owner, and is unquestionably aimed at the aviation industry, which at present amounts to 85 % of company sales.
Substantial investment in technology and employees has enabled Jihlavan to obtain demanding certifications and thus to integrate into the supply chain of global final aircraft OEMs for Airbus and other commercial and transport aircraft.
In terms of our own development activities, the mass production of 28 devices has commenced for the L410 New Generation aircraft of the final aircraft OEM Aircraft Industries (LET Kunovice). Our Development Department is also completing the development and delivery of prototypes for 34 hydraulic devices, electromechanical struts, wheels and brakes for the new L-39 Next Generation training aircraft, manufactured by Aero Vodochody final aircraft OEM.
